Terms of service#
These terms apply when you create an account or buy anything on uksqecourse.com ("UK SQE Course", "we", "us"). Please read them with our privacy notice, refund and cancellation policy and AI use policy.
UK SQE Course is an independent SQE preparation provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed or accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or Kaplan SQE. We do not register candidates for the SQE and cannot guarantee exam results.
1. Who we are and what we provide#
UK SQE Course is a trading name of [OPERATOR COMPANY NAME], a company registered in England and Wales (company number [COMPANY NUMBER]), registered office [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]; VAT number [VAT NUMBER]. The operator must replace these bracketed details before launch.
We provide independent online preparation for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE1 and SQE2) in England and Wales: practice questions, mock exams, study notes and a law index, spaced review, SQE2 skills tasks with rubric-based feedback, live courses and related tools. Contact us at support@uksqecourse.com.
2. Independence from the SRA and exam providers#
We are not the SRA, not an assessment provider and not an SRA-approved or accredited training provider. Nothing on the platform is an official SQE assessment, an official mark scheme or a statement of how the SRA will mark any exam. You must register for the SQE directly with the SRA and its assessment provider, and you should always check the SRA's current assessment information.
3. No guarantee of results#
Our materials are educational. We do not guarantee that you will pass the SQE or achieve any particular mark. Scores, percentages, readiness indicators, mock results and AI feedback are practice results and study aids only. They are not official SQE scores and do not predict whether you would pass.
4. Your account#
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account. One account is for one person: you must not share your login or let others use your paid access. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.
5. Plans, prices and payment#
Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where it applies. The price, billing interval and what is included are shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled; we will tell you the renewal price and date at checkout and by email before material changes. One-off products give access for the period stated. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card details.
6. Cancellation and refunds#
You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account; access continues to the end of the period already paid for. Your statutory cancellation rights and our refund rules are set out in the refund and cancellation policy. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
7. Your access and acceptable use#
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the platform and its content for your own exam preparation. You must not: copy, scrape, resell, publish or share our questions, explanations, notes, recordings or other content; use bots or automated tools to extract content; attempt to bypass access controls or usage limits; upload unlawful or infringing material; or misuse the community and support features. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, after warning you where reasonable.
8. Content, accuracy and updates#
We aim for accurate, current statements of the law of England and Wales and we show the date the law is stated as at where relevant. The law and the SQE specification change, and we update content accordingly, which may include correcting, replacing or withdrawing items. Content is general educational material; it is not legal advice and you must not rely on it for any real client matter. If you spot an error, please use the report-an-error tool.
9. AI features#
Some features use artificial intelligence. AI output is educational guidance only, may contain mistakes and is not a mark from the SRA or an examiner. See the AI use policy. Fair-use limits apply to AI features and are shown in your account.
10. Live courses and events#
Dates, instructors and formats may change. If we cancel a session or materially change it, we will tell you and offer a replacement, credit or refund as described in the refund policy. Recordings, where offered, are for your personal use only.
11. Intellectual property#
We and our licensors own the content and software on the platform. Your own notes, answers and submissions remain yours; you give us a limited licence to store, process and display them to provide the service (including to marking staff you request) and, only where you opt in, to improve the service.
12. Availability and changes to the service#
We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. We will give notice of planned maintenance and of changes that significantly affect what you have paid for. We may change features; if a change materially reduces what you paid for, you may cancel and ask for a pro-rata refund.
13. Our liability#
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or our negligence. We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of opportunity or exam outcomes, or for business losses (the service is for consumers). Our total liability to you for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.
14. Changes to these terms#
We may update these terms, for example for legal or service changes. We publish each version with its effective date and keep the history on this page. If a change is material we will notify you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it applies; if you do not agree you may cancel before then.
15. Complaints and disputes#
Please contact support@uksqecourse.com first; we aim to respond within 24 hours on working days and resolve complaints within 14 days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction (if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also use your local courts).
